Managing Director, External and Corporate Affairs for Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)
As Managing Director, External and Corporate Affairs for Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Jennifer works to foster confident and productive relationships among various levels of government, politicians, citizens and stakeholders. Jennifer is willing and eager to take risks, lead by example, facilitate bold and innovative policies and to strengthen the community.
In addition to working with the Province of Nova Scotia, prior to joining HRM, Jennifer spent three years with the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.
Jennifer sits as a Member of the Board of Directors of a women's shelter, providing strategic advise in board governance and government relations. She is a member of the Community Leadership Advisory Council to the Admiral which fosters strong relationships between the Canadian Navy, the city and community. She also serves on the Nova Scotia executive for the Institute of Public Administration Canada.
Jennifer grew up in Marion Bridge in Cape Breton. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University as well as her Masters of Public Administration. She also holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management.
