Ethics in Migration
The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs (CCEPA), the Canadian Business Ethics Research Network, and the Atlantic Metropolis Centre are pleased to present Ethics in Migration
Reflecting Our National Vision through Immigration Policy
APRIL 27 | HALIFAX | WESTIN NOVA SCOTIA HOTEL
Keynote: Tom Denton, Coordinator, Hospitality House Refugee Ministry, Inc.
Throughout the presentation, Mr. Denton will explore the ethical dilemmas surrounding those points at which a nation's management of its borders through its immigration strategies, result in apparent cruelty in individual cases. Mr. Denton examines the ways in which Canadians think about ethics and our national vision as it is reflected in our immigration policy. He begins his own ethics discourse with the assumption that a nation has the right to control its own borders.
